Is it true that you do not need a license to do electrical contracting in Pennsylvania?

Philadelphia has a City Lic (See Sandro thread in Business)
Other large cities MAY, but TBMK there is no Commonwealth wide Lic. yet.. PA recently started a Uniform Construction Code & Inspector Licenses (+/- 3 years ago).

There is no state wide Lic in Pa. You only need to be alive to work here. With the exception of local Gov'ts ex. Reading, Phily, Pittsburgh, Etc. Here in Lancaster they only require a City Contractors Lic, which requires only paying your $$ and a smile.
