This may be a bit weird. I'm looking for a "glo-coil" screw-in heating element. Hardware stores in my area don't carry them - hell some don't even know what I'm talking about. So where would I go about finding one?

Sven, Johnstone Supply has them in their catalog. Their part #s are G22-354(660watt) and G22-355(1000watt).
