Square D and Cutler-Hammer both have informational sheet available about this. IAEI ran a few articles about AFCIs a few moths back. Sorry, I don't have links on hand for these, but should be fairly easy to search for.

I wish I had something to contribute here, as this would be a great discussion topic, but have no helpful references - still looking for the "Motherload" website [Linked Image]

I still need to become fully aquainted with AFCI devices and complete [complex] methods of operation.
