I have the New 2005 NECH CD and loaded it on my laptop and on my desktop.

No more downloads will be permitted.

The CD includes the 1999, 2002, and 2005 NEC as a PDF file and will only allow a "VIEW & SEARCH ONLY"

Do you need the CD present to run the software?

No. The software will load the files after the key is added while online or when the NFPA is called by telephone.
