I notice a lot of fluorescent fixtures mounted on wood ceiling panels, it seems to me that under 410.76 (B), this is not permitted, unless the fixture is approved for such use.
There is nothing i can find that relates to fixtures with electronic ballast, would the 1-1/2" seperation still apply with electronic ballast.

Wood ceiling panels are not combustible low-density cellulose fiberboard.

Am I missing something?
