Do anyone know whether we need an exit signs/lights at the stairway for a 6-family apartments, 4 stories high bldg??? I am in NYC.

pierre will explain the NYC code some he is near the NYC area maybe he will help you with the info what you need and make sure if you get the exit lights make sure it is NYC approved type
