A residential property, one owner with a few buildings. The meter at the transformer, separate from the buildings. There will be three service laterals to three bldgs., each with a main disconnect in the building. There is no disconnect/circuit breaker on the lateral at the meter.
There are a couple smaller buildings fed from one of the main buildings.
I believe this is all OK by the NEC. Does the NESC say anything different?
I had a sort of similar situation last year where the utility (NiMo) required us to provide a disconnect at the meter/transformer for each lateral.

One of two things comes to mind. First, the electric utility engineer thought he was enforcing the correct rules for a particular situation and no one took him to task about his references. Second, he was enforcing his standards for service. In either case, it sounds like he was off base.

It sounds like you are intending to take three separate services from the electric utility and still feed the two smaller buildings from the larger one. Surely this is not true, is it? [Linked Image]

There are 5 buildings. Three have services (from the meter/transformer). The other two are fed from one of the three.
