Check this out inspector has us remove old mobil home wiring in the ground it was removed from the box and cut when the old trailor was moved apparently.Don`t know where the other end is didn`t see it when we dug new service.Guess I`ll find it today. Is this right? I didn`t even see the wire when we done the job friday Or at least I would have cut it off. Guess now I`ll have to dig it up.

I don't believe the NEC requires the removal of unused or abandoned power, lighting, or appliance circuits. Did the inspector cite an actual code violation?
