I am looking for a centering device to center a spliced wire. The closure that the splice will be made in will be filled with an encapsulant. I need something to keep the splice from touching the sides of closure, preventing material from covering the whole splice.

Crouse-Hinds and Killark make a fiber packing material to allow a dam to be effected in order to pour a plaster-like sealing compound around the conductors in Explosion-proof seal-off fittings.
The "centering" is not automatic, but in order to dam the seal-off properly, the conductors should be separated from the sides of the fitting and from each other.
