I am in the process of putting up a 4 plex and wondering what a fair bid for the electrical work is. There will be 4 units each about 800 sq ft with C/A. Ihave been told that it can be bid by the box or by the sq ft. What is a fair price per box or per sq ft? It is being bilt in a smaller central IL town. Any help would be nice.

Thanks

It varies state to state of course, but standard 15a switch or recept openings are around $20 each.

A dollar a square foot minimum around here, labor only. All odds and ends and weird stuff extra, Special services extra also, extra trip charges if held up by inspections, or other trades and changes. Southern Tennessee and everybody here is busy right now.
