Was wandering how do most of us bring our wiring into the panel boxes residential.I was looking at my Jan. 2002 electrical contractor magazine and on page 79 the encore wiring advertizement looks like mac daddy bundling.

depends on the panel location, captive panels{not my 1st choice} tend to be top/bottom entry's only.

IMO, nm panels look better if they are all top fed , however this is hard to do with the growth of circuit dedication ,or those like myself that overwire.....

for this reason, i will mount cellar wall panels on 2x4's, so i can fish behind the panel for a bottom entry when the top is full.

one can also use connectors listed for more than one nm cable.

i like to mark the nm on just outside the panel, as well as on the directory. This simply saves taking off the cover for future work/tracing....
