Do junction/pull boxes have to be listed? I've seen dozens made in metal shops.

The only requirement for using listed boxes that comes to mind is for wet locations, 314.15(A) .

Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example.

shoot me and bubba made one out of an old card board box last night. used plastic pill bottles and epoxy to hold the emt in.

i think it'll out last the steel ones. just kidding guys smile and have a good weekend

Rabbit, this is a ongoing issue in many areas.

The UL white book may cover some of this.

I worked in a industrial situation a few years ago, and this manufacturer made their own stainless steel cabinets for controls etc...
and were UL approved in house.

We contract a local metal fabricator to make "highhats" for installations where 90's can not be turned down into gear.

The listing situation is not a requirement, the AHJ can and must inspect items that are not listed, but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong.
