I found this definition on the NFPA Web Site:

Neutral Conductor.

The grounded current-carrying conductor of all electrical circuits.

Hmmmm, Did they have a disclaimer saying this was soley their definition, and in theory not true?

While giving a flood of CMP members heart attacks, that simple definition surely covers the proverbial "multitude of sins."

That is actually not a bad definition.
All systems that have a neutral conductor are required to be grounded, and the neutral conductor is the conductor of the system that is required to be grounded.

Is not the grounded conductor of a 3Ø 3W corner grounded system a current carrying conductor, but is not the neutral conductor?
