So, when do you use non-metallic liquidtite flex vs metallic liquidtite? What situations do your inspector feel are "subject to severe physical damage", requiring the metal armor under the plastic?

Just re-wired an irrigation pump that was a total mess, used metallic type sealtite, as the pump etc are out in the open and I didn'y want the mule deer chewing through the non-metallic flex. Fittings were $ and time to install compared to Arlington's LFNC fittings.

I pretty much have switched to NMLT. It installs easier, and is more crush resistant than LT. Plus you will always have an equipment ground inside it. I prefer T&B fittings and flex
