I posted a message a few weeks back and received some tips. Since then I also have found a source to tell me what states are implementing the AFCI breaker. But some states are enforcing the article based on the 1999 NEC and others have adopted the 2002 NEC. I really don't have a source for the NEC book to read the ruling so that is why I need someone's help here. This request is coming from Canada. Thanks to all, in advance, who respond.
The differance between the 1999 and 2002 is that the 1999 requires bedroom receptacle and the 2002 requires all bedroom outlets (lights, smokes, recepts, etc.)
Ken, may I add that the requirement is for 120V circuits, 240V is not required to have AFCI protection, and multiwires are apparently out of the question. (Cutler Hammer makes the only 2 Pole AFCI Breaker that I'm aware of...)
