Question, If a sub-panel is being feed from a breaker in a main-panel thru a square wireway,can branch circuits wires be in the same square wireway as the wires feeding the sub-panel? Boomer

i see no violation in feeders & branch circuits occuping the same space....

If your question is: Can feeder conductors be installed the same raceway as branch circuit conductors, the answer is yes.

Don't forget to derate if applicable.

Check out 230-7. Feeders and branch circuits cannot occupy the same space as service conductors.
So, there is no violation as long as there are no service conductors in the wireway you mentioned. Since you metioned that this is a sub-panel, I dont see a problem.

See page 101 of Mike Holt's "Understanding the NEC 1999" if you have it. It explains this sitation really well.

If you exceed 30 current carrying conductors, you'll have to derate to 40% up to 40 conductors, or 35% beyond that.
Up to 30 conductors, derating is not applicable.
