After reading Rodalco's thread on yearly power consumption, I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone is paying per kWh for power. Let's keep the thread simple and avoid anything political....just your rate.

I'm currently paying 6.658 cents / kWh in Southern British Columbia.

Delivery Charge
First 250kWH 5.557 cents each
Next 1067 kWH 5.864 cents each
Market Supply charge 10.4210 cents each
then a few cents here and there for cost adjustments and surcharges.

So 1317 kWH cost me $226.80 or an average unit cost of 17.22 cents per kWH

$2.94 Customer Charge
8.275¢ per kWH in the Summer

Winter rates drop to 6.208¢ per kWH for anything over the first 400.

Converted to U.S. currency at £1 = $1.90

Day rate:
First 222 kW/h per qtr. 29.3 cents/unit
Remaining day kW/h per qtr. 18.1 cents/unit

Night rate (midnight - 7 a.m. in winter):
7.64 cents/unit

All plus 5% tax, but no other service fees, standing charges, etc.

Residential .062¢ kwh
Commercial/industrial base rate starts at .072¢ kwh


Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example.
