My customer wants a high celing fan light to be controlled as follows:
3-way control from two points - preset dimmable from one point .
Fan control - speed and reverse from one point - preferably on/off from the same two points as the 3-way.

Neither he or I like remotes....batteries, and loss of remote means complete loss of control

I'm at rough-in now - got 2-14/3's between points, and one to fan/light location, but can't seem to find a product that fits the bill.

Product suggestions?

Thanks.

Here's a start, I didn't fully read through, but I'm pretty sure this will do it. http://www.mitsi.com/Projects/casablancafan.htm

Guess I should have read through, that is a custom design company. They look like they do neat stuff though.

You'll probably have to go Casablanca fan with itellitouch control, that was the point I was trying to make.

I'm sorry but I don't think any of those products will give you remote reversing of fan direction. That ability doesn't usually leave the motor assembly, does it?

We like to use X10 Controls for projects like that.

I know this http://www.lampdepot.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=34&idproduct=256 control does it with a casablanca fan, but you'd need to see if they are still available.

Casablanca will do everything you want. Download the installation instructions for the W-32 Intella-touch wall control. Here is a link ti help you: http://www.casablancafanco.com/difference/dif_ctrl_w32.html

The Casablanca Inteli-Touch control will only control Casablanca Ineli-Touch fans. If you can get by without having a reverse button on the wall control there and many choices of fan/light controls.

Thanks Curt....

The fans are 12' above the floor, and with seasonal changes - heat vs. cool - here in Maine, changing direction is pretty much a necessity. I know it a "captive" deal, but Casablanca has the patent......

A call to Cassablanca provided "any Casablanca fan with a "T" suffix will work with the controller".
