I am interested in knowing how one becomes a journeyman lineman apprentice. Is there any prerequisites? Does it very from State to State, Private to Public ect.. Any information would be appreciated.

Try this site:http://www.ibew.org/As far as I know they are the only game in town. You can get a rubber stamp any where else.

Check out the local power company. They should be able to help you. IBEW will provide apprentiships, but they are not, by far, the only ones who do. Usually a 5 year program will get you into the journeyman position.
