Would anyone here happen to have a template of a single-gang Carlon Plastic Box on their computer that they could post or email me? Or maybe know of one online that I could print? It needs to be actual size, not scaled. I'm trying to figure out if there's enough room on a wall for a data outlet.

Thanks
Ian A.

I would, but it's only for a data line until we move.

I made one out of a peice of scrap steel a while back, lent it to a carpenter to cut all my holes, and that was the end of it.

For most of the carlon stuff they often have a few paper ones in the case, if you look there might be one left at the bottom.... If not, do what we all do, wing it....

If its for data. use a low voltage ring, otherwise place face of box on wall and trace cut out, but dont forget to flip flop cut out for toggles/dogs or your opening will be wrong.

The Carlon old works are just straight cuts now. The design was changed, the ones that you are talking about are the older ones.

Well go figure, I just found one in my stash behind the couch! I've got some plastic sheathing leftover from a bathroom project, I'll make a sturdy template from that. Oh, and I would use Data Rings, but I couldn't find them at Home Cheapo or Lowes.
