Does anyone know what has happened to the Mike Holt website? All the areas all show up as archived posts.

Looks like they changed the URL. Can't even get there from the home page, I thought the site was down. Nice going Mike, how long before people figure it out? If it wasn't for iwire I would never have known.

I have not had any problem getting on Mike's site. You can still get to the code forum section from his home page.

Hmmm, the URL I had bookmarked (actually appears as a link at the top of my browser) for the forums and had been working for a month since they changed the site suddenly produced the old site which was archived and read only. If you clicked on "home" and clicked on "forums" it would just take you back to the old forum.

So you are saying you had no problem. Did you have the forums bookmarked or do you just type in mikeholt.com and go from there? I suspect that's what you do.

Apparently Jim had the same problem as I did and anybody that has a bookmark will be lost. I don't know why they resurrected the old site and why they screwed with the URL.

I suspect Al must always enter via the Main Mike Holt site.

Many if not all had the same problem you did Hal. We all had to update our book marks. The old bookmark was a time warp back to March.

Check this link for more info.

Yeah but it's a catch 22. You had to get to the new site first to find out what happened.

Oh well, I fixed it.

Had the same issue (original bookmark took me to the Archived "Old" site).

As mentioned, go to the main page and click the "Forums" link.
When you are at the "New" Forums mainpage, bookmark that link (or the Login page's link).

BTW, when did the MHE Forum switch from UBB Software to the currently used PHP Software?

The current version has a few nice tweeks (Avators, Reply to any posts, polling), but it seems to lack stability in scripting (I see a lot of HTML Tags embedding themselves into posts, where they should only be formatting some text and not be seen directly).

The "Maximum Number Of Receptacles On A Residential Branch Circuit" Thread is where I have made a recent post.
I replied to page 3 I think, and last time I reviewed the thread it was at 11 pages!

Never thought the subject could warrant over 4 pages, but after seeing 11 pages of replies, maybe I should re-evaluate what my value system figures as to be "Important" or "Necessary"!!!

That's some deep debating!
