I had wasps in the service mast. What can I use to seal off the openings where the wire enters? Caulk? If so, any particulare recommendations?

Try Duct Seal.

Fire foam works well, and it won't fall out as the weather changes.

Steve,

Some of the fire foam products, becomes conductive when subject to moisture, i would be careful to check with the manufacture before using this for a seal, also the foam product may react with the insulation.

That "clay stuff" is duct seal (also known as monkey-poo).
I use silicon caulking to fill the weatherhead.

I'd also go with silicone

I also think that Duct Seal would work fine. This reminds me of another sealer question... Why do they refer to the material that you pour into a seal off to harden as, "Chico"?

A contraction of "Crouse-Hinds Co.", the original manufacturer.
