If we are going to upgrade Bill, I'd like to have the following features:
  • Private Messaging
  • Being able to see who is on-line at the same time as me.

Anyone care to add to this list?
Only reasonable ideas thanks

PMs, automated UBB code / emoticons, statistics etc.

I imagine any new bulletin board soft ware out there would have many nice features.

I know so little about computers that I'm always reluctant to "upgrade" anything that's working for me.

My only complaint---that has nothing to do with Bill---is that many people haven't filled out their e-mails, occupations, wherabouts, etc. Maybe some required fields would be nice.

This is the site I come to most often & tell anyone who will listen. Thanks Bill.

Trumpy I am so embarrassed [Linked Image]

I would never have thought of talking to some one in another country about the NEC but low and behold I am,

Please forgive my ignorance of the fact that not every one is from the foot hills of the Blue Ridge and Brushy Mountains.

I am trying to do better and with the guidance of my web friends I will learn.

Guys,

In order to upgrade and keep the existing discussions open and intact I believe it will have to be a newer version of the same software. It will have private messaging (pm)but I'm not sure what else will be available.

I'll keep you posted on when it will happen, it's not totally up to me.

Interesting point that Dave brings up, it could be a privacy thing or people just can't be bothered.
If the rest of us can be bothered why can't you?.

Jw_ electric,
Mike,
Don't be embarrased mate!. [Linked Image]
Actually you've reminded me of something.
Bill,
Is there a chance with the new software that we can all have a wee avatar under our Usernames?
Like for instance I could have a small NZ flag or a wee picture of a Kiwi?.
Just a thought.

Actually, all of the described enhancements sound like all the stuff that's available on another board I visit at www.m715zone.com for Army vehicle afficionados. It's powered by www.postnuke.com but I'm not certain what the terms & conditions are for using them.
