It sounds about a meter off. are you sure it wasn't 55" (139cm)

It's my company policy to tie up any fixture wich would normally hang under 7'.

So basicly all of them except for foyer lights.

We hang all dining and breakfast fixtures at 66" AFF also. We always raise them up to keep people from walking into them and to keep the flooring guys from wacking them when they walk through with rolls of carpet.
