Get your hands on the "Benfield conduit bending manual"

grab a bender and some pipe, and start making some mufflers.

Dnk.....

I have purchased this book about half a dozen times to LOAN to people, who never return it.

benfield It's pretty dated, but simple.

And this site: http://www.porcupinepress.com/_bending/ConduitBending.htm

Oh yes, practice, practice, practice.

I let people take the scraps home, tell them to bring back saddles and off-sets.

In addition to the above, here is another: http://www.elliottelectric.com/1051/reference/guides/EMTcoduitbending.asp
(EMT only)

If you are planning on doing IMC or RGS, get the Benfield or Cox book ( http://www.buildersbook.com/Merchan...Store_Code=bbi&Product_Code=82817596 same price as Benfield's)...you'll need it!

I don't know about the web sites, but the Jack Benfield manual (published many years ago) is still the best one I've seen. It's available at the EC&M website as well as many others.

The elliot electric site forgot shinkage on the saddle, very important! Otherwise it will be off-center.

These two books are the best I've ever seen (hopefully these will come in as hyperlinks):

Simplified Conduit Bending http://www.conduitbending.com/Home.htm

Electrician's Guide to Conduit Bending http://www.coxco.cc/
I bought the motor control and PLC books also and they are both very good.
