One of my cutomers picked up this unit at an equipment auction, and wants it installed in a trailer.

Here's what I know:

Delco E5204
Ser 120-C-71

Voltage 208/240/416/480
Amps 156/136/76/68

Control unit was "chopped" off of the gen set - and I need to hook it up!

Where can I get info on older Delco large gen sets?

Thanks for your help

What kind of "Trailer"?

The trailer is a construction type trailer - dual axel - about 20' long. Small tool room in front, gen set at the back - open doors for ventilation.

Last unit was a 1000A Cat - installed in a Mayflower moving van - powers a rock crusher.

Maybe a dealer will have the info you need.
Here is a link for "Delco" dealers.
Hope this helps.

So did Detroit buy up/out Delco? No being my regular field, I couldn't remember.....

Thanks for the reply - looks like the nearest dealer to Maine is Wisconsin!

I can't be 100% positive but I think what you have is a Delco alternator married to a Detroit Diesel. I believe it is Detroit Diesel that will be able to offer you support.
Good luck

Here is a site that can be very helpful for old genset questions. I know it says antique generators but they cover a lot of more recent stuff too:
