As I understand it, the current MA law allows anyone to install telecommunications wiring, i.e. phone and networking. No license is required. The new laws will require a license for this. Further this will be a separate license from the current A, B, C and D categories. However, holders of these licenses will be grandfathered and therefore allowed to do (continue to do)telecommunications wiring under their existing A, B, C or D license. Have I got this right? Is this legislation pending or is it now law? BTW, I like it, thanks for the info

I have another related question. Current law does not require a license to perform telecommunications wiring. Is an electrical permit required for telecommunications wiring? Will this situation be affected by the new laws?

Also, It's the Law! On July 31, the Massachusetts Legislature passed a law mandating a minimum of 10-hours of OSHA safety training for all who are employed on a public job site.

That means project managers, superintendents and engineers as well as trade workers.

Joe...do you have a link to that OSHA 10 hour rule that passed July?
