should i get the new nec or the new nec hand book. the hand book has the code in it and it explains it right? so would the hand book be better ?

Spend the extra $ and get the NEC/NEC Handbook combo pack (if they still have it).

The handbook is great for review, and showing apprentices/homeowners the explanation of the Code. Once you're more familiar with how the Code is structured, you should be fine with the regular version (plus, the smaller size fits better in the truck [Linked Image] . ) I still use my Handbook for stuff I don't futz with much (like Hazardous atmospheres)
