Engineered drawings call for type W cable to connect batteries to dc panelboard. The battery voltage is 125VDC. What and where do I find info on type W cable?

Thanks

Table 400.4 (2002 NEC) mentions type W flexable cord.

Type "W" is flexible power cable and should be available from larger cable suppliers. Please note that many people call welding cable Type W. Welding cable can only be used on the secondary side of electric welding equipment per the UL listing. Here is Southwire's spec sheet for Type W cable.

For single-conductor type-W, see also lower on page http://www.aiwc.com/catalogsection/catalogpdfs/pccatalog/entertain_amtypew.pdf

We find it around here at Interstate Battery. Also the supply houses can order it for you. Welding supply houses also carry it usually. What Don said should be heeded carefully, not all welding cable is type W, but lots of it is, make sure to notice the difference.
