...help and I will stop with this subject.

Can anyone answer these questions?

1.Can I get insured without a license?

2.Is it possible to take the test for Master Electrician, even though I am still in an apprenticeship?

3.I have heard something about a partial license. Is anyone familiar with this?

"If common sense was common, everyone would have it"-not sure, someone here

Hi GA, In our province even a qualified journeyman electrician can not do side work on his own. This is called contracting and needs a contracting license. T he journeyman can be an accredited designate to pull permits for the contractor and sign off the permits be he can not work for 2 contractors IE Himself. He can only represent one contractor. If you Charge money it is called contracting and not "side work" . Stay patient and learn all you can and unfortunately students do not make a great income but At least you can work toward that goal.

The short answer is no, no, and no.

In GA we do have a restricted license, but it still requires 4 years experience.

Patience grasshopper...
