I noticed in another post a mention of an estimating course or class. I actually am supposed to find an estimating class and take it. Any recommendations?

Buggaboo,
I've never taken any classes, but I've read a few books. Ed Tyler's book, "Estimating Electrical Construction" is the book I got the most from. I took his format, and developed an excel spreadsheet that I used to use. My former company still uses it. Mike Holt's estimating book is pretty good.

Good Luck,
Doc

Thanks, Doc. I'll see if I can get a copy of the book on my group's budget.
