I was formerly going on referrals only, but things slowed down.
I just set up a business line and will have the basic free ad in the yellow pages coming out in September, just wondering what to expect for business.

Funny, I'm in the exact same position now. I do have some church bulletin advertising with my cel phone #. I will be able to gauge the yellow page response by keeping the phone numbers separate.

you might try getting some business cards printed and place them in convenient stores, real estate offices, hardwares stores, building supply stores etc. i picked up a couple spec houses by driving around to construction sights and asking. my phone book ad has only generated a couple jobs. good luck. ken m

Thanks for the responses.

I did actually pass out many business cards to manufacturing businesses and got only one call, which I still might get.

Word of mouth is always the best. You could do some Free Advertising on the web too. Take a look at this Article from July CEE News:
