Not for free, you can buy either one here at this site.
The NEC is different than general laws, it is copyrighted and not given away.
If you are an electrician it is one of the necessary tools of the trade.

Iwire, i just did not want to buy the cd, since its so close the the next code change.I recieved a wireless labtop for christmas,and I just like to have the nec on my hard drive for quick reference.

Buy one anyway. It's only the start of 2004, the next one comes out in a year, and they are often used for another year or so anyway, depending on your location. Some cities are consistently 1 full cycle (3 years) or more late in adopting the new code.

Look for Ray Mullen's book on Residential Wiring. It includes a PDF file of the NEC.
I have the 1999 edition. I am not sure that the 2002 version is available.
Bill can check his shelf, or order one from Delmar.
If you are a member of the NFPA you can download the 1993, 1996, and 1999 NEC in PDF format and access the 2002 NEC on line.
