Does anyone know of any publication that would prevent bending of all thread rod for trapeze support? It is being bent to compensate for the pitch of the roof bar joist. Thanks, Tom

I see it done all the time. The only time I ever questioned it was when I noticed some 1/4" with 45 deg. offsets in it.It was being used for a box support in a hung ceiling. Rather than "bridge" the bar joists with unistrut so that they could drop straight down, they made the offset. Of course this was in one of those big discount stores (the one with the smiley face slashing prices )so maybe the contractor was doing a little price slashing also. [Linked Image]
