I'm doing research on Ultra-Fast charger above 50 kW for type 3 EV charging and I was wondering what structure chargers use to perform AC-DC conversion. I've found out that there are no bidirectional chargers on the market so, are they using uncontrolled structures (diode rectifiers...) or controlled ones (AFEs)? If they use controlled structures, why not saying that are potentially bidirectional?

Thanks in advance for the help!

There are some bidirectional type 3 EV chargers with ratings of 50KW and higher on the market, so not sure why you didn't find any.
