Dear friends,
what is the role of the electrical aging test for insulation piercing connnector (IPC)?
I need some advice concerning this test.
This test is in conformity with the French standards NF C 33-020 version 2013 and NF EN 50483-5.

Best Regards
SIAME.

I suppose in the simplest terms it is evaluating how the connection degrades over time. I am not sure what environmental conditions they simulate in the test. It should certainly approximate the worst case situations it will experience when installed in compliance with the listing.
