I see some what looks like heavy electrical wires to the right of the person in this picture. Seems like poor wiring having what looks like connections exposed... Looks like 3 phase and maybe a neutral?

Of equell wory is what looks to be a gas pipe running right by the wiring!

Korea is 230/400 V 3ph + N so that seems about right. I'd say as long as this is double-insulated it's probably reasonably safe.

I just hope that ISN'T a gas pipe - loosely strung flexible hose and glued PVC splices don't sound like a good combo to me. Maybe it's actually some kind of electrical conduit. The phone wiring looks pretty sorry too!

One thing to note: almost all countries in the world have fairly stringent electrical regulations that would make for reasonably safe wiring - if they were actually obeyed.
