Hi folks, this is my first post so hello to all of you.

I am a crafter and I want to make a copper switch plates , as copper killks bacteria, and looks stylish, I think it would sell. I plan to waterjet cut copper sheets thickness 0.11 inch , than hand forged and patina, the look would be similar to this here http://www.houzz.com/projects/997617/wall-plates

What you think ? Would it sell in US ? Did you see it before ?

Also as I am not US based I would aprreciate your help , does anyone of you have detailed mesurements of regular measures of the US standard switch plates? I mean sizes of the holes etc.

Many Many thanks,

Patricia

The issue might be U/L listing but there are plenty of "designer" plates sold without listing here. It is a pretty limited market though. You would need to find a retailer and set up a distribution network, unless you were just selling online. That is the wild west.

This thread is going to be locked because it is not really within the scope of this group. Good luck on your business.
