Well, I've been working at a series of well-paying, but temporary, licensed electrician jobs. Some of these have been through temp services, some have been "Union," and some have been direct hires.

One of the irritants is the ever-changing dress code - one I must pay for. One guy wants orange shirts, another wants yellow, a third wants reflective bands - all at my expense. Or, sometimes, they'll give me A (one) shirt, as long as I wear a XX-Small. WTF?

I notice some of my co-workers have accumulated shirts from all manner of companies. Employers seem to care not whether you advertise their competition.

Well, what good is a 'blank' t-shirt? It just seems like it ought to say SOMETHING. Here are some of the things I'm tempted to have printed on my shirts:

Life is a Temp Job
Unemployed For A Living
Amish Electric - No Power, No Problem
Shock Jock
Hard Wired
Wake Me Up before You Go-Go
We Don't need No Stinkin' Permits
Wire Nut
Professional Fisherman
Bends Steel Pipe In His Bare Hands
Paid Weekly - VERY Weakly!

I think you get the idea - What ideas do you have?

The best one that I've seen is (unfortunately) for another Trade.

There is a bomb disposal team with matching T-shirts that simply say:
"If you see me running...try to catch up.

What seems to be well used around here is...
"we check your shorts" or "let us check your shorts"

However, you may want to think about that depending on where you may be wearing that shirt.

I had company logo on t-shirts for my crews, only company name and Lic. #. BTW; sized to fit.

BTW, Greg's sounds good.

Ghost's is hilarious.

I will give that to the guys doing excavation & recovery at a former US arsenal site. Great stories from that site for another time.
