Just a little question John,
How is that plate fastened to the wall?, is that meant to be flush-mounted or surface-mounted?
Reason I ask that is because of the shadow around the right side of that plate, suggests it's not against the wall.
Irregardless of the fact the Romex cables haven't been covered with any conduit or whatever, I would have thought you'd just drill one hole to take both of the cables, maybe that's just me though. crazy
The bare wires on that plug-top to the right is just the icing on the cake really, I mean how hard is it to get the wire lengths on a plug right so that you can actually use the cable retainer in the plug, they don't put them in there just for fun, do they?
I score this get a new vocation/10

Trumpy:
This is a result of the hotel 'maintenance man' doing what he had to.

What you see is a flush box that was in the wall that has the two (2) NM tapped off to provide 'two outlets' under the counter. A garbage disposal and a small instant hot water unit by the sink.

The cord cap was 'factory' on the microwave, just pulled out of the molded plug.

All of the issues at this hotel have been addressed and corrected.
