It was taken from the 1949 short "Vagabond Loafers"
It was almost an exact repeat of a short in 1940 named "A Plumbing We Will Go", where Curly was the 3rd stooge instead of Shemp.
In both of them:
While pulling out the wire the kitchen clock spins wildly and falls off the wall, when is hooked to the water the bulb in the kitchen light fills with water and explodes, and the cooktop begins running water instead of gas.
I've got every short from 1934 to 1959, and all of their movies but 1 saved on one of my computers, and these 2 are my favorites of all.
