To rehash: when the Pocos adopted digital controls they totally overlooked digital security.

This specifically includes digital meters at the Service.

But it doesn't stop there.

The power grid is a hacker's paradise.

I don't believe EMP is a realistic threat. But it's already obvious that a decent crew of hackers can have a field day messing with the power grid.

So, basicaly what they are saying is that my facebook account password is harder to crack than this utility. I get locked out after 3 wrong attempts, and the hackers did not? Way to protect the power grid.

Our provincial auditor released an audit on Manitoba Hydro (The government owned power company in Manitoba Canada) in March and found cyber security was lacking.
