I am going to bring 400 amp service to a remote location, meter only no disco's till they terminate at their locations one to the house the second to the shop; The house has a ufer to establish service, however the shop doesn't have a ufer. Would I be required to establish its service at the remote location and bring 4 wires to the shop or can I still establish service at the shop and use 2 ground rods in lieu of ufer? Thanks sparky
Two separate buildings can have 2 services off the same drop or "may poled" from a single metered pole in the middle. I would ask the AHJ how they feel about sending service conductors, building to building after the meter but I can't imagine how it isn't legal.
