I will admit that is something I obsess over... after all, the devil is in the details.

Blue, orange, yellow, gray... they don't do it for me.
I must have my black wire nuts!
White is fine by me too... as long as they're ceramic. grin

T believe that the 2013 BSEC requires wire nuts to be the same color as the wires they're connecting. laugh

I like the somewhat standardized colors. It makes it easier to see if the right size was used.

I just like beauty and class when I do my electrical work... colors tend to look "cheesy" to me, like children's playthings. whistle

Below is a rare Gray Instrument Wheatstone bridge from my collection. Hand built and insanely expensive in its day...

Very nice indeed. I recall using instruments like that when I was at college, and they were old then,more than fifty years ago.
