I am pretty sure infrared heaters installed on outdoor patios must be figured at 125% and included on residential load calcs, is this correct?

They get computed at 100% on the load calc but the branch circuit gets sized at 125%.

Depending on which method you use the bottom line may not end up being the whole load added with the heaters but the 100% is what you plug into the calculation.
