One of the inspectors in the county south of us came up with this beauty.

480v tap using an innovative method but at least he got the colors right.

Yup that is like a KupLTap.
The problem is they don't have one that taps a 600MCM with a #14 I guess.

ive seen this on here before, it still makes me wonder how the hell you could do this without getting shocked or destroying a tool or 2...

that's amazing ... not to mention the micro arcing going on within the strands they just derated, all it takes is a nick in the wire and the micro arc " hot spot " begins ...
