I'll post the entire "news story" here, since it may become un-navigable. (Don't think we need to worry too much about intellectual property issues from North korea...)

New Voltage-current Transformer Developed

Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- The Electronic Institute of the DPRK has developed a new electronic voltage-current transformer.

The small device measures voltage and current simultaneously in 60,000 volts line.

Rational sensing, signaling and screening technologies are applied to the device.

The transformer works fine even in high-voltage electromagnetic field.

Its manufacture needs no insulating oil and economizes manpower and materials like insulator, silicon steel sheet and enameled copper wire.

The new transformer is accurate in measurement, protection and synchronization, sharply reducing the number of switchboards.
