I have a salon customer that wants to install some fiber optic lights. They have to mount wood to the ceiling to hang their mirrors. they want to install the fiber optics in these boards to give the "sparkly" look.

What are your experiences with fiber optics. I know they are pricey. We are looking at between $300-$500 for materials.

Only FO Lighting I touched was cove type for a custom inground pool. It was an 'easy' install. I have seen fiber lighting in a few high end art stores, and in crystal display cabinets, and that was really $$$$.
