This is the new section for 2011 NEC questions, comments, issues, etc.

You will find the 2008 threads moved into the 'regular' NEC section.

Just heard through the grapevine that the 2011 NEC will not be available on a CD or in a PDF form that is searchable. I have an iPhone and the app store has the 2008 NEC for $75 but not the 2011. It looks like it's in an E-book format. And it is searchable. Wonder if/when they will come out with the 2011 in the app store? Any other suggestions for getting it electronically with search capabilities? I also hear there is a service for around $15 a month for NEC Plus that will give you some kind of access to it. Seems pretty creepy of them to force us to buy a long and complicated code and not give us the ability keep a local copy of the current version electronically to search it. But maybe that's just me...

I have the 2011 in PDF, as it came with the 2011 changes from NJATC. I'll check if it is "searchable" first chance I get.

I have an order placed with NFPA for the Handbook CD, but I have no availability date yet.

I wonder if Mr. Bill has it yey?? I'll send him a PM!

edit....The PDF is searchable!!

I am still holding out for the handbook CD. I will probably buy it from Bill again. Support your "local" businesses.

Greg,

Appreciate the thought, but there's not going to be any 2011 Handbook CDs. NFPA offers a download though, I think - that's linked permanently to the first computer it's installed on.

FYI, We do still have some 2011 Looseleafs that come with the free NEC PDF Download offer from NFPA.

Do they have a bound book deal with the PDF? I am not a big loose leaf fan.
Can you copy and paste from the PDF? John says you can search it and that is a plus.
