Could you please expand on that Question for all our benefits?

What are the Requirements now, if any?
I'm from Long Island and only know what We have down here. We are Licensed by County.

HELP: WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

The Dutchess County Electrical Contractors Association ( a consortium of electrical contractors)
is sponsoring a bill in Dutchess County - New York, legislation, requiring ALL electrical contractors to be licensed.

It is our (the association) stand that this law will:
PROMOTE ELECTRICAL SAFETY ( by mandating that only licensed & trained electricians perform electrical work)
INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF ELECTRICAL SAFETY ( thru training & licensing programs for electricians)
INCREASE CONSUMER PROTECTION (by requiring insurance & establishing a review board to oversee licensing)
SAVE LIVES ! ( by requiring only trained & licensed electricians to perform electrical work in public & private buildings)
This bill will go thru final legislative review & will be voted on, on Nov. 9;

PLEASE E-mail or write: the Dutchess County Legislature at:

Dutchess County Legislature
22 Market st.
Poughkeepsie NY 12601
e-mail dc9@idsi.net
please add "cc:all legislators"

& state your support.....

Thank You

Perhaps Bill has some current input?

IMHO, seems like County lic. instead of State. Local type licensure leads to 'fat wallets'!!
